The Flower of Life is also referred to as the "Creation Mandala" because it represents creation itself. It is the blueprint for all creation.

The Flower of Life is the most significant of all the symbols in Sacred Geometry. Sacred Geometry is a universal language which allows us to access ancient knowledge contained in our cellular memory. It is the key to understanding the nature and value of color, sound, light, love, creation... Sacred Geometry provides complete understanding and experience to consciously Co-Create a new world of Divine Expression and accelerate the Ascension process. Sacred Geometry rekindles our cellular memory of knowledge lost during the old civilization’s prime directive of "mastery of limitation".

Flower of Life - Amistar, India

The Flower of Life is the pathway of creation in the void, or the creation of something from nothing. It is also the pathway of creation of form; of density; life. It is also the pathway back to Oneness; the pathway home, to source, Ascension/Inscension.

Every circle in the Flower of Life represents a sphere, or cell. These spheres are the female aspects, or center points of the intersection points of all of the platonic solids. Even though they are not drawn and you can’t see them, they are in there within this image, or more accurately within its completion which is the Fruit of Life, which forms and contains Metatron’s Cube.

The FOL contains the patterns of creation as they emerged from the "Great Void". Everything is made from the Creator's thought.

After the creation of the Seed of Life the same vortex's motion was continued, creating the next structure known as the Egg of Life.

This structure forms the basis for music, as the distances between the spheres is identical to the distances between the tones and the half tones in music. It is also identical to the cellular structure of the third embryonic division (The first cell divides into two cells, then to four cells then to eight). Thus this same structure as it is further developed, creates the human body and all of the energy systems including the ones used to create the Merkaba. If we continue creating more and more spheres we will end up with the structure called the Flower of Life.

The FOL symbol is over six thousand years old. Throughout human history, philosophers, artists, and architects around the world have known the FOL for it's perfect form, proportion, and harmony. It is considered by many to be a symbol of sacred geometry, said to contain ancient, religious value depicting the fundamental forms of space and time. In this sense, it is a visual expression of the connections life weaves through all mankind, believed by some to containa type of Akashic Record of basic information of all living things.

There are many religious beliefs associated with the FOL; for example, depictions of the five Platonic Solids are found within the symbol of Metatron's Cube, which may be derived from the FOL pattern. These platonic solids are geometrical forms which are said to act as a template from which all life springs.

Significant meaning may be found by those viewing even the most basic components of the Flower of Life's design. The stages which construct the Seed of Life are said to represent the seven days of Creation, in which God created life; Genesis 2:2-3, Exodus 23:12, 31:16-17, Isaiah 56:6-8. Within these stages, among other things, are the symbols of the Vesica Piscis (an ancient religious symbol) and Borromean rings (which represents the Holy Trinity).

Secret societies

The Flower of Life has purportedly been the subject of study by groups such as the Freemasons and the Illuminati. They believed it to be the oldest recorded language which held clues to the workings of the universe.

Components of the Flower of Life have been apart of the work of Alchemists. Metatron's Cube is a symbol derived from the Flower of Life which was used as a containment circle or creation circle.

Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci has studied the Flower of Life's form and its mathematical properties. He has drawn the Flower of Life itself, as well as components therein, such as the Seed of Life. He has drawn geometric figures representing shapes such as the platonic solids, a sphere, a torus, etc., and has also used the golden ratio of phi in his artwork; all of which may be derived from the Flower of Life design.
