Unicorn

The hunter stood beside me
Who blew that mighty horn.
I saw that he was hunting
The gentle unicorn.

But the unicorn is noble
He knows his gentle birth
He knows that God has chose him above
All beast on Earth.
He's placed on a ledge that climbs.

The ledge that climbs high in the sky.
It sparkles and shimmers a gleam so wide
The unicorns roam and rare-up high
They are God's special creatures
And live a righteous life.

For they fear no man and scorn their dart.
And only a virgin's magic power shall tame their haughtly heart.

THE LAST UNICORN

When the last eagle flies over last, crumbling mountain,
And the last lion roars, at the last, dusty fountain,
In the shadow of the forest, though she may be old and worn,
They will stare, unbelieving, at the Last Unicorn.

When the first breath of winter, through the flowers is icing,
And you look to the north, and the pale moon is rising,
And it seems like all is dying and would leave the world to mourn
In the distance, hear the laughter of the Last Unicorn,

I'm alive...I'm alive...

When the last moon is cast over the last star of morning,
And the future has past without even a last, desperate warning,
Then look into the sky where through the clouds a path is formed
Look and see her, how she sparkled, it's the Last Unicorn,

I'm alive...I'm alive...

THE PROPHECY OF THE TRUE HORN

Into darkness will I fade,
Into a night that Man has made,
But through that gloom shall gleam the Sun
When I am lost, and again am won.

Release! Release! I call to thee
In the New Lands across the sea;
Let another, on narrow pathways, come to me.

Furthest and Highest,
Yet not beyond reach.
Choose thou well a path that will teach
How the Sunken is raised
And Emptiness filled
And a wandering heart
Can finally be stilled.

Seek the Great Stone! Mark it well, with a sign,
That the one who shall follow
Shall see it is mine,
And, seeing, shall ponder and certainly know
As the Ancients have writ: "As Above, so Below."

And I shall guard the Source of Greatness;
Waiting by a teardrop
>From neither joy nor sorrow born,
In silver bound, beneath the ground,
I am the Spiral Horn.

The Unicorn

A long time ago, when the Earth was green
There were more kinds of animals than you've ever seen
They'd run around free while the Earth was being born
And the loveliest of all was the unicorn

There were green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
The loveliest of all was the unicorn

The Lord seen some sinning and it gave Him pain
And He says, "Stand back, I'm going to make it rain"
He says, "Hey Noah, I'll tell you what to do
Build me a floating zoo,
and take some of those

Green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
Don't you forget my unicorns?

Old Noah was there to answer the call
He finished up making the ark just as the rain started to fall
He marched the animals two by two
And he called out as they came through
Hey Lord,
I've got green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but Lord, I'm so forlorn
I just can't find no unicorns"

And Noah looked out through the driving rain
Them unicorns were hiding, playing silly games
Kicking and splashing while the rain was falling
Oh, them silly unicorns

There was green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Noah cried, "Close the door because the rain is falling
And we just can't wait for no unicorns"

The ark started moving, it drifted with the tide
The unicorns looked up from the rocks and they cried
And the waters came down and sort of floated them away
That's why you never see unicorns to this very day

You'll see green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
You're never gonna see no unicorns.

The Unicorns

In mythical legend they stand alone
The most majestic creatures i've ever known
Never sighted they fly high above
Full of passion magic grace and love

A heart of silver precious and pure
No human can touch them, they can be sure
For they have wings which wisk them away
To a far secret land where only they stay

A white mane embedded with tails
Of faries adventures and heroic males
Stories all entrusted to this marvellous creature
Your thoughts and secrets it will never feature

A horn which has more meaning then gold
It could never be stolen auctioned or sold
For it is for the one and only unicorn
Its magical gift given when born

A Unicorns death happenes every day
From myths and legends we all stray
Only in old dusty books is this animal alive
Without imagination it will not survive
